Summertime Bluesfest: The Gladstone Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Gladstone are excited about this year’s
Bluesfest, a festival of fun, food and great blues music. Bluesfest is held in June at Oak Grove Park, located at 76th & N. Troost. This festival is enjoyed by blues fans, not just from our community, but also by fans from around the country.
Our festival continues to grow and attract crowds of over 15,000 each year. Bluesfest is family friendly in a beautiful park setting. The event is free to everyone! There is a charge for parking on the grounds and for the great food and beverages that are available.
We look forward to seeing you at our… 13th Anniversary Bluesfest Celebration, June 5th & 6th, 2009
Gladfest Fall Festival: Voted the “Best Annual Fair/Festival in the Northland”,
this major Northland event has drawn crowds in the tens of thousands, and brings with it enormous publicity for Gladstone, as well as all the businesses involved in making it happen.
The Center Stage provides exciting entertainment all weekend. Many local music and dance organizations have an opportunity to perform. Kid’s Corner provides activities and fun for children. A large carnival is in full operation all weekend. Enjoy fireworks Friday evening at dusk. See the model train exhibit while you are here. Take in the sights of a major classic car show on Sunday!
The Gladfest Parade is Saturday morning, featuring this year’s Parade Marshal and
other dignitaries, plus a lot of great floats, fun vehicles, bands, and more.
Additional events are being planned, but you can always count on lots of great food, beverages and music!
